Dear Reader,

What happens to you when I begin talking about your Endocannabinoid System??? Does it make you squirm? Or does it bore you? What is it about the word balance that gives you such a powerful thrill? Is it because its familiar? We all know balance. It is our life. Everything has balance – even crooked things can remain balanced … look at any drunkard staggering. The body still stays upright albeit crookedly!

*More on this later but the spine is important here. Without a spine, there is no Endocannabinoid System but that is a topic for another time. Let us continue …

Your Endocannabinoid System in shortcut lingo – it’s known as the ECS. And that my friend is the drunkard staggering. It keeps your body within from falling apart and disrupting your systems of life because of the careless care you give it. Your physical and mental body has balance due to the ECS functions. Have I lost you yet?

Diagram of the Endocannabinoid System

Allow me to continue to confuse you further. You know your body changes as you get older right? So does your ECS and … your gender … your race … the meds you take or drugs you enjoy. All have an impact on your homeostasis as managed by your ECS.

How blessed we are to benefit from our ECS – and do you know that the functions you take for granted are impacted by the ECs? Yes indeed! It protects you, relaxes you, makes you hunger, makes you forget and helps you sleep.

Seriously, allow Mrs. Conaway to guess … you did not even know you had a Endocannabinoid System now did you? No one did until it was discovered in 1992. It’s so new that when told about it, it is immediately tossed aside as if it’s a useless bit of body trivia. Sad to say it’s not useless. In fact, once the discovery of it was made, all hell broke loose.

For people these days to admit that thousands of years of cannabis use was actually beneficial to our health in more ways than imaginable was surely a kick in the ass to the DEA of America. You see, the crime of life was learning that cannabis is a medicine masqueraded as a drug for the last 80 years or so and an evil drug at that! It never did and never will have the murderous effect of the opioids given out like Halloween candy, but it suffers as if it kills. There is no death certificate in the world that lists killed by cannabis.

Mrs. Conaway – when given the opportunity – breaks it down gently to the listener like this.

Pupil: What is a e-ennn – doe- c c ca- na bin-o -i- d?

Mrs. Conaway: Divide the word my dear.

Pupil: E-n-d-o …

Mrs. Conaway: That means inside. Like internal bleeding or bleeding inside. What else?

Pupil: c-a-n-n-a …

Mrs. Conaway: That’s a short cut word for cannabis

Pupil: b-i-n-o-i-d …

Mrs. Conaway: That’s the end of the whole word which is cannabinoid – which is the chemical compounds in cannabis that are active meaning they do things internally or in endo to your body.

Pupil: You mean the cannabinoid is inside of me?

Mrs. Conaway: Precisely!

It is unknown how plants, meats, drugs, injuries affect us until we see repeated patterns resulting from the use or coming into contact with them. Cannabis is one.  What was most noticeable in people was one of two things or maybe both.

The first one is people would become weakened mentally and physically and just want to sit and smile or eat and smile or sleep well.

The second one is people would become agitated or calm with no sleepiness or relaxation to it and actually become energetic instead … and happy.

More things happen but these two were most noticeable. It was unknown why this plant managed to bring on these effects. Even more importantly, many noticed for centuries that differing amounts and different versions of the cannabis plant did strange things like helped stop menstrual cramps or helped a pain in the ass like an over worked muscle stop hurting. They noticed that it could be cooked, eaten raw, chewed on and miraculous results would happen.

So, all these reactions and millions more have happened throughout time and how it happened was anyone’s guess – but no one knew. Until the Endocannabinoid System was discovered. And that is amazing. Without the wonders of modern research, we would still be in the dark.

Pupil: So, how did it happen?

Mrs. Conaway: Mrs. Conaway is so glad you asked! First Dr. Mechoulam discovered two plant compounds in 1964 and they were cannabidiol known today as CBD and tetrahydrcannabinol known today by THC. Then they found out what the plant compounds would attach to and it was receptors they named or called CB1 and CB2.

Pupil: Then what happened?

Mrs. Conaway: Someone on the research team in 1992 discovered for the first time a cannabinoid in the body! They named it Anandamide. This Anandamide does “stuff” to the CB1 Receptor! Again, they came up with another one and they named it 2-AG. It’s a very long name but for speediness let’s just leave it at that. So, this one likes the CB2 receptor.

Pupil: But that’s not the Endocannabinoid System!

Mrs. Conaway: No, it is not, but does lead to it. You see, the ECS has no parts. It was noticed when they found that as signals went from receptors to receptors, it would return and inform the receptor about what was going on. This is called retrograde signaling.

To make a long – long story truly short I will tell you the rest of the story. Two evil partners in crime called enzymes caused the body to not feel the effects of the do-good cannabinoids and receptors.  When this happens, the body feels awful unpleasant. It gets out of balance and adding to the unbalance it also makes our body super sensitive to inflammation and pains.

Remember that retrograde signaling? As a component of the ECS and it enables the homeostasis to occur because the receptors call for more or less cannabinoids in the body where it’s need or not needed. What makes the enzymes destroy balance within is the lifestyle we lead like stress, anxiety, depression, poor diet, overwork etc.

The bodies’ inability to make more cannabinoids is what weakens the ECS ability to maintain homeostasis. Now don’t forget that the other organs and tissues of the body are always working to help with the homeostasis. It’s not like they do nothing. The immune system is directing traffic as the ECS tells it to.

Humans learned that the plant made changes. Dr. Mechoulam and his team learned how that was happening. The big surprise in maintaining homeostasis is that if you bring cannabinoids from outside the body to inside, you will prop up the ECS and that makes it all come back to full throttle balanced function in the magnificent body you love so much!

Dear pupils, keep in mind that we are at the beginning of the oldest medicine being accepted in its rightful place for everyone to enjoy optimum health if they can only get over the bullshit demonization created by our government back in the “day.”

Yours truly,

Mrs. Conaway

How Can You Know The Kind of Weed You Have?

Dear Reader,

Clearly Mrs. Conaway has no idea what weed type she is smoking! However, she did find a website that is very informative and she is going to share it with you newbies … here we go!

But First …

Just to be sure we are all on the same page we must clarify what we are talking about. Cannabis, which is all the latest in pain killing rage, is a plant known as weed-marijuana-ganja-pot, etc. This magnificent plant has 2 names it likes to be known by and they are Sativa and Indica.

In layman parlance, Sativa is the wild child that will make you high as a kite. It also has fantastic colorful names . These names describe the strains and are also indicators of the punch it will pack. Just to name a few – Sour Diesel, Purple Haze, Pineapple Express, Durban Poison, Kush and more. Sativa creates within the “high” outcomes like energy, creativity, productivity and you get the idea.

SATIVA AND THE HYBRIDS

Next … introducing Indica! Many of you are familiar with Indica as the “Stoner” since, well, you look like stone. This illusory bud gives you the feeling of – as my first trainer called it – “in da couch.”

The Indica strains are equally colorful and actually all the cannabis strains prior to drying out are full of color and they all have distinct odors but that’s another post for next time.

See?

INDICA AND THE HYBRIDS

Want to sleep? Chill?

This is the “get out of doing work weed”! It’s to relax and pretty much be incapacitated looking stoned. I’ve noticed it’s a favorite of most users that I’ve known in the past. Mrs. Conaway, (who doesn’t smoke at this time) is going to give this a try for sure!

Back to the topic at hand and that is the fact that if you are fortunate and able to purchase your own marijuana, you will know the strain and what the outcome will be. On the other hand, if you are gifted a bag of ganja and have no idea what you are holding, Mrs. Conaway has a way for you to obtain a pretty acurate guess.

And, Now You Know …

The lovely and informative article Mrs. Conaway found is on a website called PotGuide.com and of course she loves the name. It is so fitting! A Guide to Pot … yesssss! In the article Mrs. Conaway spied a lovely word that she intends to make use of as often as possible … Cannasseur! Isn’t that a sweet word to describe your newfound ability to identify the type of strain you may be enjoying? Yes, it is.

How to be a Cannasseur is what we want to know and here it is. Although there are many many variations and strains that will make your eyeballs pop just reading them, the outcomes are one of two. Energetic high or in the couch high. The degree of potency varies and the ability of your health and emotional-spiritual well-being determines how well you cope with it.

For the sake of brevity, Mrs. Conaway is going to insert a few items from www.potguide.com for your understanding and learning. My favorite line from www.potguide.com is this one … In general, identifying an individual strain of weed will come down to three key things: the look of the weedthe taste of the bud and the feel of the high.

It is so helpful when others who have gone before take the time to provide information for us. Mrs. Conaway will now paraphrase and share what she learned from the article, “Indica, Sativa & Hybrid: Can You Tell What You’re Smoking?” by PotGuide.com staff.

We are referring to the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes. Should you prefer to use it for recreation, Mrs. Conaway is in the dark so you are on your own there.

To use Medical Marijuana for the relief of stress or anxiety and in the case of depression many can experiment with Sativa. We are merely giving you an indication of what it may be used for in case you have no idea. Of course there are many more uses and since you do not want to be reading for a couple of hours here, we will keep it brief.

A few signs of identification that your gifted bud is Sativa or a Sativa-Dominant Hybrid are listed as follows:

1- It can give you an energetic and creative feeling when smoking it.

2- Your thoughts race but you will still feel productive

3- The cannabis will smell sweet, light, fruity or floral

4- Your cannabis may or may not have a citrus like tast

5- Your cannabis will have buds that are light and fluffy

(A bud is the flower that has dried and compacted down and looks like tobacco in the form of a cotton ball. Just in case you don’t know what a bud is.)

MOVING ALONG

We now will cover Indica or Indica-Dominant Hybrid and these are excellent for the some of the same as the Sativa and for more differences that matter. Take Multiple Sclerosis, an Indica is known to help reduce the symptoms that make life unpleasant. You can add more to the list and to be brief I will only mention now that its useful for arthritis, Parkinsons disease, panic attacks and the old devil, chronic pain.

A few signs of identification that your gifted bud is Indica or Indica- Dominant Hybrid are listed as follows:

1- You may notic that your mind might feel clouded and distracted when smoking it

2- It is easy to forget what you are saying or you may lose track of time

3- Your cannabis has a skunky, spicy or pine like smell

4- Your cannabis may or may not have a chocolate like taste or earthy taste

5- Your cannabis buds will be heave and dense

Mrs. Conaway is happy to give you some information that will open the door to learning about cannabis and the strains that are the foundation of the health care she is attempting to provide.

The widespread fear of cannabis is not over. Much progress had been accomplished and yet the outright terror that happens to cross the face of some people is very sad. To know that they are passing up an opportunity to be potentially pain free is heartbreaking. Ignorance is like a huge trap no one can escape from once it’s set in. Of course if you are like Mrs. Conaway and the pain outweighs the risks, you can overcome your fear.

For this reason, Mrs. Conaway went to the expense and training and education to learn more so she could help others who have a morbid fear of cannabis as she herself once had.

Gratitude for this plant cannot be expressed loudly or long enough. Mrs. Conaway is the poster child for hating cannabis and now promoting it’s virtues non-stop for the sake of bringing relief when nothing else can, bringing folks from the brink of addiction to opiates by proper use of cannabis. The good things are lost in the demonization of cannabis but Mrs. Conaway is determined to do her part to enlighten the few willing to listen and give a fair consideration to cannabis.

Please feel free to visit the website, PotGuide.com and learn from it. Reinventing the wheel is not Mrs. Conaway’s idea of a good time. They did the work and now she does the sharing. Spread the good news about cannabis. There’s so much more to tell you from knowing what the Endocannabinoid System is to using cannabis in food.

We invite you to stay in touch and follow Mrs. Conaway with her newly minted certification as a Cannabis Health Coach career.

Yours truly,

Mrs. Conaway

Learn The Laws

Dear Reader … when you are relocated from a state like say … California … where everything goes …

… it’s nothing short of a disaster to learn the new laws in the new state of residence, New Mexico. Absolutely stunning.

Fines abound! Up to a half ounce no penalty but a maximum fine exists … are you kidding me? Aren’t they the same? No incarceration though. Whew!

My brain is spinning at the long list of potential criminalities I could commit without knowing it. I must say it’s quite a shock. One can so easily be accustomed to having so freely a ride in the former abode. What was it called back in the day? Culture shock?

Look at this taken from normL.org …

DECRIMINALIZATION

The state has decriminalized marijuana to some degree. Typically, decriminalization means no prison time or criminal record for first-time possession of a small amount for personal consumption. The conduct is treated like a minor traffic violation.

Does this mean that a second time possession is criminal?

If it’s decriminalized why is there a fine?

Paraphernalia

Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham signed legislation into law decriminalizing the possession of personal use amounts of cannabis. The law took effect on July 1, 2019.

Possession of marijuana paraphernalia used for the cultivation, distribution, or inhalation/ingestion of marijuana is punishable by a fine of $50.

You can have it but you can’t either ????

Cultivation

For first offenders cultivation of marijuana is a second degree felony and is punishable by 9 years of imprisonment and a fine of $10,000. Subsequent offenses are considered a first degree felony and are punishable by 18 years of imprisonment and a fine of $15,000.

Cultivating marijuana within a drug-free school zone is a first degree felony and is punishable by 18 years of imprisonment and a fine of $15,000.

Mrs. Conaway gets it with regards to children. However, the good news here is that CBD oils are allowed.

Here’s the link >>> https://norml.org/laws/new-mexico-penalties-2

It’s disturbing how easily the medical community can prescribe some of the most destructive compounds called prescription drugs with impunity and carelessness. And, yet the cannabis users can’t even have it in their home. Yes, of course people will sneak and have it. It’s sickening that grown men and women have to slink around just to have medical marijuana to ease their pain. Not everyone has a qualifying condition that enables them to have a card yet the cannabis eases their pain and makes life bearable.

Oh! Mrs. Conaway’s head is spinning! Look at the fines …

Possession
Up to 1/2 ozNoneNone$ 50
More than 1/2 oz and up to 1 oz (first offense)Misdemeanor15 days$ 100
More than 1/2 oz and up to 1 oz (second offense)Misdemeanor1 year$ 1,000
More than 1 oz and up to 8 ozMisdemeanor1 year$ 1,000
8 oz or moreFelony1.5 years$ 5,000

Perhaps she will reconsider the relocation positives to a state like Colorado which is nearby. … hmmmm.

Seriously, the laws with regard to medicinal use must be arranged so that the people who need it can get it without making them a criminal.

Keep in mind that Mrs. Conaway believes that recreational use is a waste of a precious commodity. So many seniors do not know how advantageous medical marijuana can be when properly coached in its use. Back in the so-called good old days of the 60’s and 70’s users of cannabis had mainly one goal and that was to get high.

Right now, if given the choice to be high and pain free or fighting cancer … get high wins! Might as well since the pain can be unbearable from what I have been told.

It is hard to believe that Mrs. Conaway has not actually smoked any cannabis at all and only uses CBD oil from Zion Medicinals. Should anything ever take a turn for the worse, Mrs. Conaway would most definitely use some Rick Simpson Oil AND move to a friendly state like say Colorado!

Some lessons are hard to accustom oneself with. Upon becoming a certified Cannabis Coach in a state that its use, growth, possession and promotion are pretty much illegal is quite the shock.

Retirement was not based on the right factors or she definitely would have ended up in Colorado and may still! A great thing about aging into the golden years is the fact that you can do what ever you want as long as you can finance it!

Keep that in mind and as always, obey the laws. They will change soon and then all will be well in the medical needs field and medical cannabis can take its rightful place in the medical field.

Yours truly,

Mrs. Conaway

Difference Between Vaping Hemp and CBD Oil

Long time – no see! Thank you for your patience. Today I am happy to post another post by an acquaintance named Alex from Smoke Tokes! Here is his information if you would like to reach out to him with any questions.

SmokeTokes.com

Alex, Mrs. Conaway truly appreciates the time you took to reach out and submit this article for posting on my www.losangelesnaturalhealth.com website.

Please feel free to submit more as Mrs. Conaway loves to hear others viewpoints on our beloved plant, cannabis.

ENJOY!

Difference Between Vaping Hemp and CBD Oil by Alex M.

The cannabis industry is booming. More and more people are now consuming marijuana, either for medical purposes or just for fun. Interestingly, those who are afraid of cannabis because of its intoxicating effect can now enjoy the therapeutic benefits of these plants without getting high. All thanks to the CBD chemical in cannabis plants.

Despite this, those who wish to use CBD are faced with the dilemma of whether to vape or not to vape. Vaping has its perks, but not everyone is cut out for it. Some people just don’t buy the idea of inhaling substances.

Regardless of your preference, there is always a CBD product for you, and today, we will look at the difference between two CBD products: hemp flower and CBD oil.

What is CBD?

Before we dive further, it’s important to understand the term CBD. CBD is the short form of Cannabidiol, one of at least 100 known cannabinoids found in cannabis plants.

A cannabis plant is made up of two main chemicals: Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). THC and CBD act as natural remedies for many ailments; however, both cannabinoids are like the two opposite sides of a coin. This is because they react in different ways when consumed, even though both have the same molecular structure.

THC is the primary psychoactive component in cannabis. It is responsible for the “high” sensation people experience when they consume marijuana. CBD, on the other hand, is a non psychoactive compound. It has a calming effect, which helps to counteract the intoxicating feeling of THC in the body.

This makes CBD oil and hemp flowers the perfect choice for people who do not wish to get high while using cannabis.

What is CBD oil?

CBD oil is one of the many products made from the CBD compound found in the cannabis plant. It is made by extracting CBD from the sativa plant, which is then mixed with natural oil from products like coconut.

This non-intoxicating cannabis extract is gaining popularity since researchers confirmed that it helps ease the symptoms of several medical conditions like anxiety, chronic pain, and inflammation. A recent report revealed that US residents in states where marijuana is legal are increasingly using CBD oil to relieve pandemic-induced stress caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Using CBD extract does not require the use of a vaporizer or smoking kits, which makes it suitable for people who do not like to vape or smoke. It can either be consumed by oral formulation or by applying it to affected areas of the body. For oral ingestion, users can keep some CBD oil in their mouth for 1.5 minutes before swallowing.

What is a Hemp Flower?

The hemp plant is a member of the cannabis family. It offers many therapeutic benefits, and it does not get users high like THC. The plant has three useful parts: the seed, fiber, and flower.

The hemp seed is a very nutritional part of the hemp plant that can be used to produce hemp seed oil, which is used in many skin products. Hemp fiber has properties that can make products stronger and durable.

Hemp flowers, also known as CBD flowers or CBD buds, are dried buds of the hemp plant that you can break apart on a rolling tray and either vape or smoke. It contains higher levels of CBD and lower amounts of THC, which makes many vapers who do not wish to get high opt-in for hemp flowers.

Differences?

Although vaping hemp and using CBD oil will not intoxicate you, both products have their differences in terms of discreteness and potency.

Discreet

The use of vape pens for vaporizing cannabis like hemp flower allows vapers to enjoy their favorite herbs without compromising their discreteness. However, vaporizers are not as discreet as the use of CBD oil. You can use CBD oil anywhere, anytime without fear, since there is no vapor involved.

Potency

Hemp flowers are generally more potent than CBD oil because they are full-spectrum, unlike CBD oils that are broad spectrum. Full-spectrum CBD contains all cannabinoids and chemical properties found in the hemp plant, which makes it more therapeutic. A broad-spectrum, on the other hand, is a CBD spectrum that contains natural compounds but no THC.

Mrs. Conaway

There is More Than One Way to Have Your Weed

You do not have to be a marijuana smoker or user of medical marijuana to know that some methods of delivery are better than others or to know that you are not stuck with one just because you started out with that one.

Modern joint aka PreRoll

The news is filled with stories of people dying from marijuana. What they fail to tell in their stories is that if the people had used legal, lab tested regulated medical cannabis the deaths could be avoided.

Instead, counterfeit weed designed to look and resemble the safer legal legitimate product is packed with fillers that have chemicals and toxins which create the sickness or death. In an effort to save money or acquire it in states where its illegal, people are putting their health at risk.

Medical marijuana is not going to go away. In fact, the danger is that Big Pharma will try to take over the industry and manage to use it for their advantage and not for the people.

People dislike regulation and in many cases the overreach of government entities is disgusting but in this case, keeping the plant available for health is important. What I am referring to is the use of ruined, dirty, pollutied, toxic contaminated weed that people are unknowlingly using to relieve pain, stress and dis-ease in their life.

Many people don’t have the time, space or knowledge to grow their own weed safely and they depend on suppliers to keep it coming. This however, can cause problems when unscrupulous villains who are out to scam you manage to rip you off. Since as a health product, it’s fairly new, most people have to trust the seller. It’s not just sitting on a shelph somewhere waiting for you to read the list of product do’s and dont’s.

Moldy Marijuana

If you are familiar with the knowledge of good and bad weed, be nice and educate other people … if they are willing to listen … and tell them how to be aware of what they are buying. If they aren’t sure then encourage them to spend a little more and go to a proper dispensary and not one that just popped up on the corner recently.

I honestly cannot stress how important this plant, Cannabis Sativa, will be to the coming generations with regard to maintaining health.

Most people only know that it can be smoked. They want to use the new vaporizers. I wish someone would give classes so that people could learn how to use the hundreds of appliances out there. The creators of these tools have no idea how confusing they look to the newbie.

New tools pop up all the time and out of fear, people revert to what they always know and trust and we all trust using a joint. And, new forms of weed for both recreation and medical use are popping up too.

Vape in pens, pipes, bongs etc, are the current hot product for people. Outside of the joint we are all familiar with – no matter how much you tell them that they can get more bang for their buck using a vaporizer, they don’t. It takes knowing what the burning points in the vaporizer are. The seller at the dispensary rarely take time to educate.

So few people know that a patch is as efficient as a brownie. No one tells them because we tend to share what we are familiar with. People can’t bake a cake or boil water so for sure, they aren’t making canna butters and cannabis candy or brownies. So you know, these take longer to kick in and when they do, they last longer so they are best just before going to bed.

Fact: Vaping legal stable bona fide weed is fast acting. It goes to the bloodstream fast. The downside is it doesn’t last long.

Keep in mind that you are using it as a patient therefore, titrating is important. Start slow and low and monitor your reaction. Unfortunately, this is not acceptable when you are in pain. So, I suggest practicing while you are healthy and with minor aches the minute you see them beginning to worsen. If you are in a legal stat, why wait?

Fact: Edibles generally have sugar so if you have diabetes or any sort of metabolic syndrome, this may not be an option for you. As it travels through the liver, which can be up to a few hours before you feel anything, be aware of that. Do not overeat or you will be out of luck. Not that sleep is bad and if it’s what you want, overeating may work. But for medicinal type use, give your edible time to digest and work.

Fact: Full extract/RSO/FECO is powerful and used for epilepsy, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, autism, cancer and neurological disorders. It is not easily available and great care must be taken in obtaining it simply because in my opinion … it’s a life-giving, life-saving tool.

Since most people love variety and in America we thrive on trying out new things from jeans to bras – from sushi to tacos – we will do the same with medical marijuana. We will do the same with the tools available to use the medical marijuana.

Take it from one who was so anti-marijuana for all of my life until June of 2018, it’s important that you know what you are doing, buy from reputable dispensaries or people who you know grow safe plants. Let’s work together to keep this wonderful medicine available and then people like my father who passed away from brain cancer don’t have to die early.

Recently, I was tested in my job because I am a driver and under random drug screening. Apparently, I passed. I use a CBD hemp oil daily. I take that risk because I can’t replace health like I can a job. My use is for health maintenance. I have nothing wrong but if I did I can tell you I wouldn’t hesitate to use stronger products in any way I could.

Someday, when I retire and I can stay at home, I will definitely use it recreationally in the safety of my home to finally learn what all the fuss is about. Until that day, I am only interested in telling you about the medical uses of marijuana.

Yours truly,

Mrs. Conaway

Breakdown of the Certificate of Analysis

FOR EXAMPLE ONLY

Dear Reader,

It’s important to know that your product has a Certificate of Analysis for the simple reason that it makes you feel safe. Note that it makes you feel safe … not that you are safe from bad stuff in your hemp/marijuana product. As a food product, the irony here is that these tests are on the product not the facilities as it is with most food products.

Mrs. Conaway decided to look up all those badass sounding terms and break them down for us to see what they do … to us and for us.

Let’s start with this one – Aerobic Plate Count.

Basic meaning is the analysis detects and indicates the bacterial populations on a sample. It does not differentiate types of bacteria. It does gauge sanitary quality, organoleptic (acting on, or involving the use of, the sense organs – ie. smell, color, taste, feel) acceptability and adherence to good manufacturing practices and may be an indicator of safety.

Total Coliform Bacterial Count – right away we know that this is an indicator of contamination in water. It can be killed with disinfection. Looking at the screenshot, we know that it’s
content is less than 100 and that means this …
For every 100 mL of water tested no total coliforms or E. coli should be detected
and that obviously is true here.

Total Bile Tolerant Gram-Negative Count. This test is used to detect and quantify bacteria species that may be present on a
cannabis sample. This type of bacteria can survive in the human stomach which is where the bile tolerant comes from and they have a protective cell wall that causes them to turn red when put through the gram staining process (the gram-negative part). This is what makes BTGN harmful to humans.
Sadly, they thrive everywhere in all environments and they are a challenge because the outer membrane that protects them from gram staining also protects them from antibiotics, detergents and anti-microbial enzymes produced by the immune system. When immune cells “lyse” (undergo or cause to undergo lysis) gram-negative bacteria
cells it can cause a toxic reaction that can include an increased respiratory rate and low blood pressure – a life-threatening condition known as septic shock.

Keep in mind that all these tests are performed independently by labs according to their state and/or Federal rules. Some are pretty intense and others are more relaxed with respect to their rules for tests.

Total Yeast & Mold. This is a winner to be aware of. This test is an indication of yeast and mold contamination on a cannabis sample and that is critical to all forms of cannabis you ingest whether it’s topically or orally or inhaled.

Aspergillus fumigatus produces toxins that can cause potentially fatal infections. The drawback to tests for yeast and mold do not tell us the difference between pathogenic, beneficial or benign ones. You might say they regulate it make their selves feel like they are doing good. Especially since as it turns out, the
growers might use Trichoderma which is a fungus that helps plant
nutrition and protect it from disease. The testing recommends a less than 10,000 CFU/g on cannabis plant material and 1,000 CFU/g on extracts. FROM:: https://www.medicinalgenomics.com/applications/total-yeast-and-mold/

What is also included on some Certificates of Analysis are things like the appearance, aroma, looks or dissolution. Potency numbers are helpful in determining if it will do the job you want if you to know what you expect from your tinctures. Some also list on the Certificate of Analysis, the terpenes which can be almost more important than anything else as they are considered crucial to the mood lift experience.

Last, but not least in importance, Mrs. Conaway would like you to be aware that a good Certificate of Analysis has numerous tidbits to assure they are giving you the highest quality product and they do that by adding lot numbers, the correct and true name of the product, dates of manufacture and the date of the analysis. Expiration dates and one in particular adds the Oil batch number!

Be aware there is no conformity required and they will show you what they have room for, can afford to test for or just feel what is important. Do not be alarmed if they are not the same. If you are in doubt, it’s so easy to rectify! DO NOT BUY IT. Problem solved.

It may make you feel super cool when you compare the label to the Certificate of Analysis and find they match … that’s a winner!

You can also look at this resource for information, American Herbal Pharmacopoeia

Enjoy yourself as you sift through the mountains of data and information. It’s there for your assurance that you are getting the best you can afford. Heck, we have known of people who use stuff made in a kitchen sink with absolutely no testing and
guess what? The victim survived! All the testing is good but mainly find a good quality company that vomits and regurgitates their quality control over and over. They are the trusty ones and the ones Mrs. Conaway favors over-all. Thank you for reading. It’s important to educate yourself on things like this.

JOY Organics … Mrs. Conaway’s Opinion!

Dear Reader,

One question that is on the mind of most everyone I see looking at CBD in Facebook and Instagram or even Twitter is this … which is the best? One way to determine that is by asking who makes the CBD they are selling. The better ones are sold directly by the company that makes the product. The more advantages the manufacturer gives you in terms of streams of availability are also important.

As a health consultant for marijuana or cannabis sativa as it’s properly known, Mrs. Conaway must be sure Los Angeles Natural Health is promoting the best for her clients and potential buyers.

There are a few first’s to be considered. Do you want to use Full Spectrum or Broad Spectrum? Are you only interested in an Isolate? Well, we know Full Spectrum has CBD and THC which is top of the line because that encompasses the whole “entourage effect” which gives you the best of everything without overkill.

Isolates are not so grand and mostly useful for those who have no desire to get anywhere near the effect of being “high” because there is no THC to activate a CB1 Receptor. The worst thing that can happen with Isolates – and any CBD for that matter – are dry mouth, drowsiness and low blood pressure.

Mrs. Conaway has been on the look out for a good Broad Spectrum. Believe it or not, they are hard to find. Many folks only want all or nothing and Broad Spectrum is right in the middle. In her searching she came across a brand with a lot of extras to pack into her tool-box.

For now, we will stick to the explanations of the Broad Spectrum CBD. Here is the website, https://joyorganics.com to Joy Organics which is the one we are going to be speaking about. I am not an affiliate at this time … however, I am very impressed by the company and their service.

As we all know, there are a lot of old school know-it-alls who think they are the only ones who can do a bang-up great job creating products from cannabis. That’s fine except that with the tools available today almost anyone can create a great product but still more is required and the biggest one for me is the integrity of the manufacturer/company.

Joy Organics is in Mrs. Conaway’s humble opinion an amazing company. Transparent as all hell, they hold nothing back and their customer service is excellent. Mrs. Conaway has been checking them out for a few months now and nothing but good has been found.

Today is the first time Mrs. Conaway has used the product. She selected to use their Summer Lemon. As a Broad Spectrum that she felt would be trustworthy, this is the ONE! The flavor was nice and smooth not overpowering or leaving a bad taste. Remember, you must hold it in your mouth for a while to absorb it and bad taste is not cool. There will be times when effectiveness outweighs taste and thankfully this is not the case here.

So … what is it that makes a Broad Spectrum so great? Let Mrs. Conaway say this … processing and lab results count for a lot. Like a bad restaurant cook, the preparer matters, and you want one that can be traced – not a bunch of hype and no substance.

The company also provides a lot of education that will be helpful if you want to strike out on your own without a health coach. Be mindful that you do not keep looking. It’s very easy to look at over 20 plus different CBD companies and end up with nothing because you reach a point where you can’t make a decision.

Back to where we were … what is so good? Broad Spectrum CBD oil from Joy Organics is THC-free. For those of you who are already in the “know” and understand the implications of THC-free – good for you! For those new to the idea, THC-free means that you will not get “high” but you will get the entourage effect and that’s the Broad meaning.

Mrs. Conaway struggled with the idea of entourage effect until she experienced it. And that happened when she stopped using CBD for about a month. That’s when she became aware of the missing joy. There is a happy that goes with having your whole body system functioning on a plane of balance. You heard about rose colored glasses? Well, the entourage effect is like having rose colored glasses for your body. It’s just happy as can be. The world is brighter, the balance feels awesome and the step is just lighter.

Now, Mrs. Conaway was out of town and away from CBD for 5 days and starting a new bottle of Joy Organics Broad Spectrum on a clean Endocannabinoid System is a good test for the efficacy of the product. She will be giving it a few days before pronouncing yay or nay however, she’s pretty sure it will be a yay simply because in talking to the reps and combing through their website and reviews off the site – it’s pretty darn good.

Who would want to use Broad Spectrum? Mainly people who have experience with Full Spectrum, but their job does random drug testing and they have to forego the THC. It’s also for those who want to be sure they won’t get high but also want the entourage effect which means they already have experienced it with either smoking marijuana or using Full Spectrum.

Since Mrs. Conaway sees no point in repetitive nonsense, she happily encourages you to visit and see for yourself what is there. Just to highlight in case you are busy as Mrs. Conaway is, she’s going to share a few tidbits …

WHAT IS GOING ON?

Mrs. Conaway came upon a most interesting article and why was it so interesting? Because anytime she finds something that includes the alteration of cannabis to fit a pharmaceutical need … there is room for concern.

The article to which she is referring involves a lot of unfamiliar words. Therefore, Mrs. Conaway has taken it upon herself to compile a small list of words that she deems necessary for you to know in order to be able to follow the article she is about to provide.

Actually, she has a link she is going to give to you. Her hope is that you understand that sometimes it’s not easy to give a brief and thorough synopsis of the article and it’s just best that you read it for yourself as it’s written.

This article had a word that Mrs. Conaway was not familiar with. Cannabosides. What the hell is that? A new plant? A new strain? A new ???? Well … it’s a molecule. It sounds more sinister than that however, we present you with this and will hope that you find the curiosity to open the link at at least read it once.

ANYTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH CANNABIS AND BIG PHARMA IS SUSPECT!

As a non-scientific person, Mrs. Conaway does have to keep a dictionary handy to understand the hard parts of these well written articles. To spare you the trouble she has written up this short helpful mini-dictionary for the above article.

Cannabosides: a molecule

Stevia plant enzyme: Can be used to create a new class of cannabinoid compounds

Prodrugs: A precursor (forerunner) of a drug. A prodrug must undergo chemical conversion by metabolic processes before becoming an active pharmacological agent.

Glycosylation: Is an important and highly regulated mechanism of secondary protein processing within cells. It plays a critical role in determining protein structure, function and stability. Structurally, glycosylation is known to affect the three dimensional configuration of proteins.

Nano-emulsions: An advanced mode of drug delivery system. Nano-sized emulsions, which are manufactured for improving the delivery of active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Pharmaceutical Formulations:  Pharmaceutical formulation is defined as the process in which different chemical substances are combined to produce a final medicinal product. The formulation studies involve developing a preparation of drug acceptable for patient.

Genetically engineer: (GE) foods that have had their DNA changed using genes from other plants or animals. Scientists take the gene for a desired trait in one plant or animal, and they insert that gene into a cell of another plant or animal.

Glycosylation: Glycosylation is a form of co-translational and post-translational modification.

If you need help or wish to discuss the implications of this article, please reach out to Mrs. Conaway at losangelesnaturalhealth@gmail.com for faster service.

My dear reader, I do hope you get the implications of any alteration of the plant Cannabis. It’s morally wrong to mess with it.

Yours truly,

Mrs. Conaway

Los Angeles Natural Health Zion Medicinals Review

Zion Medicinals

Dear Reader,

As a cannabis coach, Mrs. Conaway has a lot of CBD products and creators cross her path. One came by a while ago but since she was so busy, she didn’t have an opportunity to look into it, but oh, the name … she liked the name!

So time passed and finally she visited the link. Mrs. Conaway looked over it briefly and saw that they allowed affiliation. Great for me. But she didn’t do anything yet. There was complete knowledge that had to be learned.

Eventually, Mrs. Conaway was able to read the story of Zion Medicinals and was enthusiastic and signed up to affiliate it.

Mrs. Conaway is always on the look out for the unique delivery system that resonates with her. Having tried a few, she’s become very discerning about delivery systems. You see, they make the difference between bio-availability working well or working poorly.

After all that, it took her some time to make an order. The day Mrs. Conaway made the order she read all the information on the website again.

The founder, Brian Caruso loves his wife enough to work at finding a solution to her suffering. Now, Mrs. Conaway is not familiar with Lyme Disease and had no idea what it is or that it could be chronic. This was the basis of her suffering. Unfortunately, there are many issues lots of folks are unaware of and this is one. No one has ever had it in her circle of friends or family. Determined to help her and finding nothing else did the job, Brian Caruso created a tincture for his wife.

It takes enormous effort to improve the mousetrap, but he did it. Starting out with 4 pillars as the foundation for creating health in others is remarkable in attempt alone. Brian made those pillars his and they are this … the product must be organic, it must be of ethanol extraction, it must be full spectrum and it must be Spagyric processing made. That last one is what spurred her to try it.

Spagyric, (spa – ger – ic).

CO2 extraction is pretty intense, and it says creates a more medicinal product. Keep in mind that we cannot be creating medicine per the FDA rules but the word is so apropos! The Ethanol extraction is beneficial with a wider range of molecules from the plant which then enter your system for enhanced utility. This is important for bio-availability.

Here is the tire kicking ultimate persuasive argument for using this product.

It is the a l c h e m y  process they use. In this process, the left-over plant matter (after extraction is fulfilled) is burned to a white ash, filtered, turning it into hemp mineral salts and added to their hemp tincture.

You gotta love this! Because it’s absolutely true! It makes it more bio-available and potent.

Why does Mrs. Conaway support this? She cannot say due to FDA spying on her, but you can always contact her and ask yourself. 877-cbd-2thc.

Or, you can use this link, http://losangelesnaturalhealth.com/ZION-Medicinals and order your very own tincture of Zion Medicinals. You will surely not be disappointed, or Mrs. Conaway will personally refund you your purchase price within 30 days because she knows you will have results immediately.

There is one stipulation, you must use this independent of any other CBD tinctures or forms of use.

Lots of folks complain their CBD does not work and what they do not realize is that they cannot overlap brands, concoctions or edibles and think they will feel what it is they are seeking.

For absolute optimal results (and why waste your money for anything less) do not use Zion Medicinals with amazing Spagyric delivery until you are ready to use it by itself. Start slow and low or if you are in major need, blast a dropper-full to enhance the results! Someone very close to Mrs. Conaway uses it like that … just sayin’.

You can write Mrs. Conaway a letter of thanks afterwards!

Yours truly,

Mrs. Conaway
